In Grove Park, homeownership isn’t just about housing, it’s about dignity, stability, and the power to pass on opportunity from one generation to the next. Creating conditions for homeownership is a critical part of the GPF affordable housing strategy. The combination of lower household incomes, limited housing stock, and development pressure in Grove Park creates a growing opportunity gap for residents to achieve home ownership in their own community. Without intervention, long-time residents, many of whom have lived here for decades, risk displacement as property values soar and generational wealth slips further out of reach.
Grove Park Foundation has a multi-pronged strategy to develop and preserve a mix of housing options with affordability based on Area Median Income (AMI) and market rate. A mixed income housing strategy supports a thriving neighborhood and provides stability for Grove Park families, a pathway for homeownership, and the opportunity to build generational wealth for their families
Rental housing includes low-to-medium density multi-family and single-family units. Affordability for these units range from: 50%-80% AMI to market rate
Homeownership units are single family homes including infill parcels and townhomes. Affordability for these units range from: 80%-120% AMI to market rate
